EX-SERVICE MEN EXTOL THE SUPPORT OF ENUGU STATE GOVERNMENT

The Enugu State Council of the Nigerian Legion has expressed gratitude to the Enugu State Government for its support to ex-service men in the state.

The State Chairman of the Legion, Comrade Emeka Igwesi gave the commendation while speaking with newsmen in Enugu.

Comrade Igwesi thanked Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, for assisting the Union to meet up with its obligations.

“We the ex-service men in Enugu State, we are very grateful to the Government of Enugu State for the role they played during 2017 state election of the legion. It was not long we were inaugurated at government house. Before now, the legion in Enugu State has not known it so good. Presently, the Enugu state Government has extended its love to ex-service men in the state.”

Comrade Igwesi urged all military pensioners in the state to participate in the verification to be conducted by the Ministry of Defence and the Military Pensions Board from 26 November to 9 December at the 82 Division of the Nigerian Army, Enugu.

He enjoined them to come along with all necessary retirement document for the exercise.
