GM RADIO NIGERIA PACESETTER FM, UMUAHIA BOWS OUT OF SERVICE

DSCN0039 It was all joy and fun as Management and Staff of Radio Nigeria Pacesetter FM, Umuahia, friends, Colleagues and relations gathered to bid farewell to their outgoing General Manager, Deacon Fidelis Onoh who is retiring from the Corporation after the mandatory 35 years of Service to the Corporation.

Born in the year 1960 to the family of Mazi and OriakuImuoh in Arochukwu, Deacon Fidelis joined the Federal  Radio Corporation of Nigeria in 1982 as a Studio Manager from where he raised to the rank of the General Manager, Pacesetter FM in 2015, the position he held till August 2017.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director General, Broadcasting Corporation of Abia, MrUchenna Dike represented by the Director News and Current Affairs in the Corporation, Comrade Hyacinth Okoli while eulogizing the outstanding qualities of Deacon  Onoh urged staff members of Pacesetter FM to allow love, peace and hard work be  their watch word in the discharge of their duties.

Contributing, the Chairman, Heads of Federal Parastatals and Agencies in Abia State, Pastor Eugene Eke described the outgoing General Manager as a peace loving man who believed in hard work and humility.

Some of the staff members of Radio Nigeria Pacesetter FM, Umuahia, Mr. ObinnaOdowuike, MrChimezieOgwumike, Mrs Sandra Ebenezer and Mr Ezekiel Ogbu in an interview commended the leadership qualities of MrOnoh while working under him.

Responding, the outgoing Manager, Pacesetter FM, Deacon Fidelis Onoh thanked all that graced the occasion and urged members ofstaff of the station to ensure that they maintained the high standard Radio Nigeria  was known for which is its leadership position in the broadcast industry in the country.

Highpoint of the event was the presentation of souvenir to the General Manager by the staff of the Station.
