Chief Nnaji gave the advice while reacting to the recent arrangement by the Party to elect candidates for Local Government election in Enugu State.
The PDP Chieftain said the eighteen months crisis that rocked the Party was enough lesson and should spur members to ensure success in the Local Government Polls.
He described as undemocratic alleged compilation of names in Political Wards in Nkanu West Local Government Area which were later announced to the people without due consultations.
Also reacting to the issue, the Vice Chairman of the Party in Akpugo –Obuno Ward Two, Mr. Ezenna Nwodo, alleged that the people were being compelled to endorse a certain candidate.
The Treasurer of the Party, Mr. Michael Ogbodo, and an Executive Assistant to the Governor, Mr. Chikezie Nwammadu, appealed for urgent intervention to ensure that due process was followed.
Other PDP faithful in the area who spoke on the matter expressed fear that the Party might lose certain positions if the people were not allowed to choose their candidates.
Meanwhile Ezeagu Local Government Chairmanship Aspirants of the PDP in the forthcoming Local Government election in Enugu State have disassociated themselves from alleged speculations that the Transition Committee Chairman has been endorsed to run unopposed by Stakeholders of the Party in the area.
The Aspirants said in a statement that the imposition of candidate for the election was unacceptable and undemocratic.
A statement by Chief Nicholas Ekwo and Chief Destiny Nnagbo on behalf of the aspirants, affirmed their total support to the Governor, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for visionary leadership and appealed for interaction to ensure continuity of Peace and Justice in Ezeagu Local Government Area.
